Our design packages are thoughtfully priced to reflect the expertise, creativity, and detailed planning required to design exceptional outdoor spaces. Professional landscape architects typically charge around 5% of total landscape project costs for conceptual designs and landscape plans. Our fees are approximately 3% of total construction costs for conceptual designs. If you require detailed construction documents, these are typically billed separately at approximately 5% of the project cost, aligning with standard industry practices.
Our Design Process is as follows:
1. Initial Consultation & Property Survey:
We begin with a personalized consultation to understand your vision, style preferences, and project goals. Next, we send a professional surveyor to your property to capture precise measurements, elevations, and photos—ensuring we have an accurate foundation for your design.
2. Concept Development & 3D Visualization:
Using the survey data, we create a highly detailed 3D model of your property. This immersive visualization allows you to explore every design element, from pools and patios to outdoor living spaces and garden features, ensuring your vision comes to life before construction begins.
3. Design Refinement & Final Plans:
Once the design is approved, we refine every detail to perfection. Our team then produces comprehensive AutoCAD plans, including precise dimensions, elevations, material selections, lighting layouts, and plant specifications, leaving nothing to guesswork.
4. Ready-to-Build Construction Plans:
Already have a contractor? Our detailed construction plans provide all the technical information needed for a smooth build, including measurements, materials, and essential callouts to ensure the design is executed as envisioned.
5. Project Management Services (Greater NYC Area):
For clients in the Greater New York City area, Element and Edge offers full project management services. We coordinate with contractors, oversee material selections, and ensure every phase of construction is executed according to plan—providing a seamless experience from design to completion.
At Element and Edge, we specialize in landscape design and project planning, but we do not provide installations or recommend contractors directly. Our detailed construction plans are crafted to industry standards, ensuring that any professional contractor you select will have all the information needed to bring your design to life with precision.
We offer project management services in the Greater New York City area and, for select projects, we can extend our project management services to locations beyond this region. For projects outside our standard service area, availability is determined on a case-by-case basis, ensuring we can deliver the level of attention and oversight your project deserves.
